Shared Stories.
The Across Cultures Film Festival Bamberg (ACFFB) is an independent international film festival dedicated to connecting people, cultures, and perspectives through the art of cinema. We believe in the power of film to bring forward stories that might otherwise go unheard. Stories of identity, belonging, family, migration, hope, and the experiences that connect us as human beings.
Since our inaugural edition on September 20, 2026, in Bamberg, Germany, we have been creating a space for filmmakers from different countries and cultural backgrounds. Our mission goes beyond screening and celebrating films. We aim to encourage meaningful encounters, inspire conversations, and open doors to new perspectives. We are particularly committed to providing a platform for independent filmmakers while fostering connections between international talent, local audiences, and Bamberg cultural community. Our vision is to build a film festival whose impact extends beyond the screen — open, international, and deeply rooted in Bamberg. Cinema connects what borders divide.
